The origins of the Mascorrubí Heritage are found in the ancient order of the Order of the Temple of the castle of Celma founded in the twelfth century; the first document that mentions our farm dates from January of 1279 on the occasion of an inheritance, since then the vineyard is part of our landscape, an organic vineyard, tall ( +500 m) and with native varieties of our area:

Montonega (Paired), white and black Grenache and white and black Sumoll, with some plots of pre·”filoxera” varieties recovered to make experimental wines. With these grapes at Heretat Mascorrubí we make low intervention wines (Naturals).

WINES

we blanc

Extincta Vitis

It is a wine with surprising fresh nuances where notes of aromatic Mediterranean herbs stand out (rosemary, thyme, fennel, maria Lluïsa) accompanied by memories of hydrocarbons. In the background, citrus, thiolic notes and peach can be appreciated.

On the palate, it is dry, full-bodied and with nerve. In the aftertaste, slightly bitter sensations appear, granting persistence.

About
Us

"As a child I liked to go to my grandparents’ farmhouse… Walking through the vineyards, collecting eggs from the henhouse, planting and picking tomatoes.

Life took me to the city and I studied engineering. I had the strength and perseverance to push the largest telephone company in Catalonia.

One day I said, what the hell! Because I don't start building a place in the countryside where I can live again what made me so happy as a child.

Thus was born the Mascorrubi project.

A farmhouse to make wine, to have animals, and hosting for families who want to spend some time in the cool altitude of Pla de Manlleu

We have begun to make this dream a reality”

Our goal is “Maximum intervention in the vineyard and “Minimum intervention in the cellar” with agricultural and operating practices to preserve the environment.
